8. Guerrilla Marketing Myths
Menu | 1 | 2 | 3 | 4 | 5

Make a checkmark by each of the myths that you do not believe:

It is good to have a lot of white space in marketing materials.

People do not read long copy.

It is very costly to purchase time on television.

Marketing should sell the sizzle and not the steak.

  Good marketing works instantly.

Marketing is supposed to entertain and amuse.

  Marketing should change regularly.

Marketing should be memorable above all else.

Bad publicity is better than no publicity.

The only purpose of marketing is to earn a profit.

GUERRILLA ACTION STEPS:

A. Circle each statement that does not have a checkmark.

B. List the action you will take to cease your belief in a myth. Your goal is a checkmark next to each myth.

C. Adjust your current marketing to reflect the truths of marketing and operate by none of the myths.
