GUERRILLA EXERCISE: Make three lists now. The first should contain the technology you are using right now. The second should contain the technology you’ll be using within two years. The third should contain the technology that your customers use. The closer the third list is to your first list and second list, the better you are marketing properly with technology.

Put a checkmark next to each of the technologies you currently employ:

  Fax machine
  Voice mail
  Pager
  Cellphone
  Computer
  High speed Internet access
  Wireless technology
  Two-way radio
  CD-ROM
  Palm pilot

GUERRILLA ACTION STEPS:

A. Circle each technology your business currently lacks.

B. Determine whether an investment in each technology you are not employing will increase your overall profitability.

C. Write a list of which missing technology you will acquire and the month and year you will acquire it. The goal is to have technology that matches that of your customers and that earns profits for your business.
